1947

Grandfather William Kindness (Bill) bought the bakery.

 

1960

Michael Kindness, Bill's youngest child, left school at 15 years old and worked in the bake house and started going to bakery evening classes in Aberdeen.

 

1975

Michael took over the running of the family business from Bill.

 

1985

Tragically Michael died after a short illness and Margaret his wife took over the running of the bakery.

 

1986

Mark, who is Margaret's youngest son, leaves school and attends Aberdeen Technical College for a year. The following year he leaves to learn the family business.

 

1992

Mark till this present day still looks after the family craft bakery.

 

2012

The Kindness Bakery Rebranding was launched.

 

2013

Oatcakes Bites & Cheddar Cheese Oatcake bites awarded Gold Stars By the Guild of fine Foods in the Great Taste Awards.

 

The Future

It's filled with Kindness for everyone.
